Can I still instal Office 97?

Actually, it is a differet motherboard, harddrive and case
to what we we purchased with this version of Office.

What I have done, which seems to have worked is
reinstalled the office products we had when I was using
Windows 3.1.... These were the versions before we upgraded
the hardware. We reinstalled those then upgrade to the
Office 97. As I wrote, it seem o.k. :))

Thank you for your assistance.

You're very welcome but it seems I was no help at all. Glad you were
able to get it resolved.

I too have had the same problem: I had a hard disk crash; I installed a new
hard disk, and attempted to re-install Office 97 Pro. It asks me for a
certificate of authenticity, which I do not belive I was ever provided.

Any thoughts on how to get around this?

PS: The OS is Wndows 2000.

I uninstalled SP2 and it still won't take Office 97. I bought the XP upgrade
