Can I update just one program in an Office Suite?

My computer currently has Office Professional 2003. I now have the upgrade
disk for Office Basic 2007, but I haven't installed it yet. Can I use the
2007 upgrade for Excel, Word, and Outlook even though it doesn't have the
rest of the programs from Office Professional?

Thanx!

Yes, just use the option to Upgrade existing, that will leave Office 2003
components not included in your version of 2007
Ensure your 2003 is upto date with any updates first

I just looked again and it is actually the full retail version, not an
upgrade. Will that make a difference?

No,
PS Is it a trial or have you paid for it?

We have paid for it. We got a new computer last year and it came with Office
Basic 2007 installed and the disc came with it. That sucks! So if we are only
looking to update certain programs included in Office Proffesional we can buy
the 2007 Upgrade for whichever programs we want (either as a suite or
individually) and they should install and run without messing with the other
programs right?
