Can I upgrade from Microsoft Office 97 to Office 2003?

I have an old version of Microsoft Office and I am running Windows XP
Professional Edition and It is not a Windows 98SE computer at all what are my
chances of upgrading to a new version?

Office 97 {any edition} is a qualifying product for an upgrade to Office
2003 {any edition}. You do not need to install Office 97. When you install
Office 2003 and are asked for a qualifying product, insert your Office 97 CD
{or floppy 1} and browse to the disk.
