I need to have the data analysis tool pack add-in for Excel for a class I am
taking. If I cannot upgrade the version I have (office 2000 Standard) will
the upgrade to Office 2003 have that tool pack?

Hi Mom,

MS supports 'upgrading' (one version to the next) but didn't support cross grading (moving from one edition to the next in the same
version, in this case within the 2000 family).

If you have a full retail CD of Office 2000 Premium Edition rather than an upgrade CD you could backup your files, uninstall the
Standard Edition then restart the PC and install the Premium Edition, but if I recall, the Data Analysis tool pack add-in should be
in the Standard edition as well (although you may want to followup with the folks in the Excel group through the links below).

If the Analysis pack isn't listed in Excel under Tools=>Add-ins
you should be able to use the MS Office 2000 listing in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to add it, by changing the
feature set installed under Excel=>Add-ins
