I have purchased the small business edition, only to find in my haste i dont
actually have access in the package. Im trying to figure out the cheapest
way to resolve this and wonder if i can just upgrade as you can do with Vista

Depending on when/where you got it, you may be able to do some sort of
exchange. Call your computer manufacturer and ask them if that's an option.
(I happen to know that Small Business is only an OEM and that's why I'm
telling the OP to contact the manuf. instead of Microsoft or Amazon.com.)

Hi Jo Ann,

The only version where MS marketing made the Small Business Edition an OEM (preinstalled) only one was for MS Office XP (2002).

For Office 2003 and Office 2007, the Office Small Business Editions are available as retail

Hi Craig,

You can add Access 2007 upgrade package
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101754511033.aspx
to the existing Office 2007 product if you like (Office 2007 supports 'crossgrade' additions).

In the U.S., Microsoft retail software allows a 45 day return policy, sometimes retailers will help with that, sometimes it will
have to be through Microsoft.

My mistake. I saw Small Business but my mind read it as Basic. Duh. He
should still check to see if he can do some sort of exchange. The worst
thing they can say is no.
