Yes, standalone product means only Outlook, not the rest of Office.
As for issues, each person will have different things they wish to accomplish with Office/Outlook - there is no comprehensive list compiled anywhere that I know of that lists *all* of the problems with H&S versions with standalone Outlook 2007 added afterwards.
