Can I upgrade Office Student & Teacher w/Access 2007

Is a previous version of Access required in order to use the 2007 upgrade. I
have MS Office Student and Teacher 2003 and just obtained a program that
requires Access to run.

Student & Teacher doesn't qualify for suite upgrades but appears to for
individual products.
