can I upgrade to retail licence from oem?

packagesMy PC has an OEM verison of Office 2000 Professional installed. Can
I buy an upgrade to 2003 (I know these upgrades themselves are retail only).
I know that office 2000 itself is a valid base to upgrade to 2003, but
no-where does it refer to OEM as either qualifying or not.

Yes you can upgrade from Office 2000 OEM to Office 2003. No Problem.
If you have the original CDs for Office 2000 OEM then you need to keep
them as the license for Office 2003 upgrade augments the license for
previous versions.
