Yes I bought the upgrade and opened the package already. SO I thought if I
go buy the home and student for $100 I could install that and then download
the office standard upgrade. This will work then? Thats great thanks for
your help.

Yes but instead of installing the HSE, just start installing the Std upgrade
and when prompted for the qualifying product, insert the HSE disk and point
to it.
