Can I upload with both FP2003 and WS_FTP

J

Jane Here

At work I upload web pages using Publish web site. However, I also have
large exe files (5 to 50 mb) that take forever to upload from FrontPage. I
find if I upload the large exe files from my home connection using WS_FTP it
goes much quicker. Also, the upload with WS_FTP is much more user friendly -
it tells me how much has gone and how much is still to go. With
FrontPage2003 I seem to get very little feedback on upload progress.

So here is the question - am I going to run into problems using both methods
to upload files?
Any other thoughts?

If you have the ability to create subwebs(subsites) on the remote server, then that would be the
safest approach to only upload to a subweb via FTP.

use ftp program only if you're not using the Frontpage extensions - other wsie
publish through frontpage.
