Can I use a cell reference in the criteria for the sumif function.

If I use ">32" as the criteria in my sumif formula, I receive the correct
answer.

If I use >C3 as the critera, I receive zero as the answer.

Is some way to use a cell reference in the criteria? Excel help says that
the criteria can be a "number, expression, or text."

Place the ">" in quotes and use & ---- i.e.

=SUMIF(A1:A100,">"&F1,B1:B100)

 

[Domenic]

=COUNTIF(A1:A10,">"&C3)
