Can I view PowerPoint 2003 comments in PowerPoint 2000?

A client sent me a PowerPoint 2003 presentation with comments included on the
slides. I can't seem to view them in PowerPoint 2000. Is there a way I can
get the comments to display?

You probably need the help of your client to do some conversion. Check this
out:

On the other hand, those comments could still be seen on separate page if
you print them out.
