CAN INSERT GRAPHIC BUT CAN'T SEE A "PREVIEW" IN THE INSERT BOX

Hi,
In Word 2002 SP£, & Win XP.

I can happily insert "pictures from file" into my document but can not see
the picture I'm going to insert in the "preview" to the right.

I can insert all the required graphics that I use, (jpx, pcx, wmf, png etc
etc) so my graphics filters must be installed Ok. But in the "Insert
Picture", "From File" box, the preview of the picture does not come up on
the right hand side of the box.

I'm sure this used to be the case, or am I incorrect and its not possible?

Have you tried using Thumbnails view instead? Preview does work for me in
Word 2003, Windows 2000, but the thumbnails are actually clearer (because
the Preview just enlarges the thumbnail view).

as usual the simple (and obvious later on) ways are the
best! Yes that works
out OK, and gets me over the problem nicely.
