Can lines between email messages in outlook 2003 be removed?

Cheri

We just got Outlook 2003 and there are things I would like to change about
the look and feel of it. Is there a way to remove the lines between the
messages in the Inbox.

Also, can you remove completely the "Favorite Folders"? I have emptied it
but would like to get rid of it completely.

Thanks,
Cheri

Lines: it's in other settings for the view.

Basic instructions are here:
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm

Favorite folder: No. You can switch to the folder list - press Ctrl+6 or the
folder list button.

Hi Diane,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I may have mislead you though. I
am not speaking of the grouping of the messages. I was able to remove them.

I am talking about the gridlines between the messages on the Inbox screen.
I don't recall the lines being there in XP or maybe they just were as bold.
I'm not sure. But to me this makes the screen look so cluttered and I am
trying to "clean" it up to meet my preferences.

Any additional assistance would be appreciated!

..
the url gives the basic instructions if you need help customizing the view,
should you not know how or where to begin customizing views. Substitute the
menus used for grouping for the Other Settings used by lines.

Thanks Diane!!! I just had not taken the time yet to look for the other
settings. I thought the customizing was only for the groups setting.

Thanks again,
Cheri

Cheri,
If you haven't found the answer: Go to view, arrange by, custom, other
settings.
