Can Microsoft word send fax thru magicjack? Thanks, Royce

I just purchased a Magicjack and need to know how to send a fax thru it. It
seems to work by putting a splitter on the outline and then circling to the
back with one line to the fax modem. Is this viable. Thanks rfoxfire

Maybe there is some fax software that could be used but why would you want
to fax rather than use email? Who has a fax machine these days?

rfoxfire,
From MJ FAQ Pages:

http://www.magicjack.com/1/faq/
Can I send and receive faxes using magicJack?
Answer:
Sometimes.
We do not officially support using faxing with magicJack.
Please try the following steps to use magicJack with your fax (contact your fax
vendor for details):

Turn off error correction on your fax machine or program
Set the fax machine or program to use the slowest speed available
Increase the speed, checking at each speed that faxes work

You will need to test it out for yourself, but make sure that you have the
following:
1. You will need a modem that will send Faxes.
2. You will need a program installed to send the faxes with. There is a built in
default MS Fax program available for XP, and earlier versions. You may need to
install it if you haven't installed it and set it up before.

Thanks RFoxFire...
Your post was the most helpful here I am looking for a post on how to send a
fax
using magicjack and what you said made sense and works perfectly I plug a
phone wire from my magic jack and back to my modem on my laptop and used the
vista builtin fax software to send the fax it works perfectly the looping was
a great idea. I should have thought about it but guess i was lost at looking
for software thanks for your input and keep up the good work.
