can no loner upload data to website

I am unable to up load material from the working copy of my web, on my machine, to the live site hosted by a professional server farm. I am getting a server ** timed out error message

Annoyingly enough I can edit the “live†copy directly. I get the same error message but the changes to the various pages are saved

My at home work station is a 1.3 GH running WinXp Pro and FP 2002. My last major software change prior to things going awry was adding SYSCOM V toolkits. I ran the fire wall, virus protection, and did some disk maintenance prior to discivering any problems. I immeadiatly uninstalled the software and ran the Fp repair option from the help tab, but it hasn’t helped

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hello

It sounds like a problem with your host, if the message says, Server timed out, then it could mean that the server is having problems. I know that it is not a problem with your software or your hardware. Check with your host and see if they are having problems

Check your firewall to see if it is blocking FP or set to allow FP to access the site

How big is your web?

How big are the files in it?

FrontPage webs do not scale particularly well... so if your site gets big,
you will have problems.

("Too big" starts at around 100 meg for most servers, individual files as
small as 20 megs can start to cause problems.)
