Can no longer view html messages

I have seen similar forum discussions on this issue, but not yet a solution.
When I received commercial html email with images (e.g., Apple, LL Bean,
Lands End, and several I have created myself), I see a horizontal rule, then
text with <links>, but no indication of the structure of the original
message.

Previously, I would see a yellow bar asking if I wanted to download images,
but I don't even get this anymore. This happens will ALL incoming graphical
messages.

This started suddenly a few weeks ago. Can't recall if it coincided with a
MS or Apple security update.

Have tried rebuilding the database, but no luck.

Any help is appreciated. Between this and the "unable to establish secure
connection" bug, Entourage 2004 is becoming a third world app.

Thanks!

In addition to trashing the com.microsoft.browserfont.cache, you can also
try trashing the tasmanbrowser.cache, which will be found in your
~/Library/Caches.

Steps to help determine where the problem is located.

1) you can eliminate your Identity by creating a new Identity in Entourage
and see if you experience the same problem.

2) if a new Identity still exhibits the same issues, then create a new User
in System Preferences and test Entourage there.

3) If the problems still exist in the new User, it's a problem with your
base OS files. If running the Apple combo does not fix, then you might need
to do an "Archive & Install".
