Can not add mp3 files using insert add file.

I have added mp3 files in the past this way and now it simply won't allow me
to add mp3 files. I have a previous presentation with mp3 file already in the
saved presentation and the music will not play. The mp3 files have not moved
location and a message displays suggesting to look for the file. When you go
to the file and click on the file the message is displayed that the file can
not be added.

I would guess something (an application) has hijacked the file association.
