Can not display Sent Items folder

I can no longer open my Sent Items folder (Outlook 2000,
Windows 2000) and receive the following message:

"Unable to display the folder. Could not complete the
operation. One or more parameter values are not valid."

I tried going to View, Current View, then Customize
Current View to change the layout, but that does not show
as it does for other folders.

How do I change the parameters if I can't get to Customize
Current View?

I backed up my folders and uninstalled Office, then
reinstalled it. The problem persists so I figure it is
something in my data file that generates the problem.

Thanks for any advice and direction.
