Can not edit one field in a form of many

I'm working using a form I've been using for years, and suddenly I can not
type any text in one particular field in the doc. Don't know what I did -
maybe a random keystroke, or something is corrupted... can type into the
other fields just fine.
What's going on?? (No error message or notice appears, it's just that when
I type, nothing happens) I can however backspace and have things go away -
just can't type them back in again!)

Try this:

1) Right-click the field,
2) click Edit Field.

Sometimes you may need to change the properties of the field.

When I right click, I don't get the option to edit. But if the form is
unlocked, I can access the field properties. Maybe I had somehow unchecked
"allow fill in"
I don't know though, cuz I gave up, deleted the field and created a new one!
(Works fine)
However, still curious as to what went wrong...
