Linda

In Project Center, I’ve clicked on Edit, on the project detail page I am
looking at the project Field them across from that is the word value (which
is a drop down list) in this list I can not find a name that I am looking
for. My question is I can not seem to find this field anywhere to edit the
drop down list. I’ve looked in the custom codes and custom outline codes. Is
there someplace that I am missing? It seems to be I can find every other
project field - that I looking for but not this one.

can you help?
Thanks,Linda

The names that appear on the Owner field are those who are members of the
Project Managers group, the Portfolio Managers group, and the Administrators
group in PWA. You cannot edit the list of potential Owners for a project.
Instead, your Project Server administrator must add the person in question
to one of these three groups. Also, if the PWA user account for an
individual has the New Project permission set to either Not Allowed or Deny,
this will remove that person's name from the Owner list. Hope this helps.

Linda,

The "Owner" field that is not available anywhere else but as a viewable
column in Project Center Views and when you hit the Edit button in Project
Center. This is also the only place where you can change a project owner.
And to be able to see the Owner dropdown list when you hit the Edit button
on a project from Project Center, you must be have the "Manage Users and
Groups" global permission which out of the box is only enabled for
Administrators.

I have set up my own security groups, so I am no longer using the defaults.
Which access right(s) add the user to the 'Owners' list? Thanks!

I believe the permission you seek is the "New Project" permission. Hope
this helps.
