Can not open ARCHIVED files after removing BETA version back to 20

I recently tried the BETA version and as reported found it to be too slow and
will wait for the FINAL version before making the switch. I folled the
instructins carefully and removed the BETA to go bnack to my 2003 PRO
edition. But found out that I am not capable of opening the ARCHIVE files
that are in my hard drive under personal folders!!!??? It shows a message
containing the following :
Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience.
ANy helps and advice as to how I can recover my ARCHIVED messages?

Did you do a Save As and change the file type to the ones that can be read
by 2003? If not, I suspect you'll have to reinstall 2007.

The Outlook archive PST should be readable without a problem by Outlook
2003. How are you trying to open this exactly?

That's what I was afraid of! So now I have to re-install the 2007 BETA (only
the OUTLOOK portion I assume?) and open my archive folder and do a save as? I
have never done a save as for my archived folders? How do I do thi?

Thanks for the input!

I'm the wrong one to ask. I installed 2007 on my husband's system because he
rarely if ever checks his personal email and even then I opted out of the
Outlook part.

Try posting your question in an applicable Outlook newsgroup.
