Can not Read Excel files

Hi, I am writing for my boss having trouble. She has a
relatively new computer, Windows XP, and has Quattro Pro
installed. However, she is working on group projects with
people who have Excel and she can not read any of their
files. I suggested the free viewer download from Microsoft
but it doesn't seem to be supported by Windows XP.

Any ideas?
