can not remove 26 pt character spacing in word table cell

Inside one of the cells of a table on a word document the character spacing
jumps to 26.1 pts. It happens only in this one cell, when I try to revert to
normal spacing it will not change. Everywhere on the document the formatting
is fine, just this one cell. Any tips on changing the formatting.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?QXJuZQ==?=,

Which version of Word is this?

When you click in this cell, then look at the "Styles" list in the Formatting
toolbar (at the left), which style name is listed?

If you select the cell, then Ctrl+Q, Ctrl+Spacebar, does that make any
difference?

Try the following: With the cursor in the problem cell, click Table
Properties on the Table menu. Click the Cell tab. Click Options. Is
the "Fit text" option selected? If so, clear it, and click OK twice.
