Can not send email from word.

Friend says he suddenly, as of last Thursday(?), can not use the email
sending from Word. Says the Send button is not there. friend says it
has worked for ages till a few days ago. He is apparently using Norton
for protection.

It is a trial version of Office? As in came preinstalled on a new computer.
