Can not send mail

Everything was working good and I updated Office 2003 not I can't send unless
I go into the folder - Send/Receive all The only way I can do it ?
How do I unstill the update Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (English version)

Go to File in menu and make sure that "work offline" is not checked.
