can not type in afield nor can i send email

when I attempt to type in a field the characters do not appear
can not send email of course

Is this in OneNote? Perhaps you could furnish some more information, like
which program you're using. If it is an email program, you would be better
off posting to the appropriate newsgroup for that program. This newsgroup
supports OneNote only.

yes it is OneNote i just downloaded the trial version

Did you activate the trial? If you don't activate it, you can't use it.
