Can Office 2007 work side by side with other versions?

I have Office 2000 installed, but don't want to really remove it until I am
happy and satisfied with Office 2007. Can Office 2007 be installed
concurrently with Office 2000, allowing me to select which product I prefer
to use? Or will installing Office 2007 remove and replace Office 2000?

You can install Office 2007 along side any previous version of Office,
except you cannot install more than one version of Outlook.

However, if you intend to switch often between program versions, you will
get an annoying dialog every time about how Office needs to reconfigure
itself to run the version you choose after running the other version.

My recommendation would be to run a virtual machine with the second version
of Office which you can access at any time. You can also have both versions
of Outlook installed if you use a virtual machine to run a second instance
of your OS.
