Can Office Student 2007 be installed over office Professional?

I have 2 computers. One is running Office xp (2002) standard (OEM) and the
other is running Office 2003 Professional. If I install office home & student
edition 2007 on these machines will my other office programs still work?
(Access 2003, publisher 2003, outlook 2003, infopath 2003, outlook 2002)
what problems can I expect?

They should. I would recommend a parallel install instead of overwriting
the base programs (Word, Excel & PowerPoint.)

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928091/en-us for good information on how
to do the setup. Note the section on Word and Outlook (even though Home and
Student 2007 does not have Outlook.)

There is a link that is a bit more to the point. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924618/

Yes, if you click Upgrade instead of not upgrading but creating a parallel
install the basic programs will be overwritten. That can sometimes cause
issues with other programs (especially Outlook.) That is why I said to do a
parallel install and the link I gave gives pertinent information. The link
you posted shows what happens when you upgrade. Instead of clicking Upgrade
you want to Keep all previous versions, just like the article you posted
says.
