can one owner use same software on two computers

You can do this with Student and Teacher Office 2003 (allows install to
three computers). However, under normal license for Office 2003 you can
only install it on one machine.

Go to Help/about in say Word and view your end user license agreement. This
tells you how you can install your Office version. If using a retail copy you
should be able to install on 1 desktop and one laptop.
