Can one stop a slide show advance after hitting the neter key

I want to control the flow of my slide show using hyperlinks from one slide
to another and back again. However, I cannot stop the user from hitting the
enter key and advancing to the next slide in the sequence which defeats the
purpose of using hyperlinks. How does one disable the enterr key on a slide
shw.
