Can Outlook 2003 import OE 6 messages?

I am thinking about switching to Outlook 2003. Will it import all my old OE
6 messages?

Diane,

Don't think that will work. I can't export anything without getting an
error that tells me

"An error has occurred initializing MAPI"

Don't know what that is because I have never tried to export before. I am
not going to lay out the money for OL2003 before knowing that I can bring in
all my old messages.

That error means OL is not installed yet... you can export from OE to OL (or
import to OL from OE) and not lose any messages. Because of a time stamp
problem, export from OE to Ol is recommended.
