Can Project Pro 2003 connect to Server 2002?

Hi

Today I was trying to use Project Professional 2003 to
connect ur server (Project Server 2002), it said that I
could open with read-only option or I have to upgrade
tables in server.

Does this mean that I can not use 2003 Pro to do modify
job on 200 server? and how could I upgrade tables?

P.S. Is there any way to translate web access pages into
other language (say Japanese, Chinese)? because I have
only English version of Project Server 2003.

Thanks in advance

Huang:

I believe that the RTM version of Project 2003 can connect to Project Server
2002, the betas didn't support this though. You can install MUI packs to
support additional languages.

Hi Gary

Thanks for your reply.

I think I am using RTM version of Project Pro 2003, I can
connect to 2002 server, but I can not update.

Does MUI for Project Web Access (and Project Server 2003)
translate all strings into desired languages?

Where can I get this MUI? Thanks

If you've got the RTM code, then you've got access I don't have.

RTM code is not officially available, except obviously to whichever
partners are involved in the manufacturing process; however, it is
available on the edonkey2000 network (i.e. warez). If you have a MSDN
subscription it is my opinion that it would be legal to download from
this source, since Microsoft are already distributing product codes,
even though it won't be possible to download the product until October
1. In other words you would have a valid licence to use the product.
When connecting using Project 2003 final to project server 2002 it
advises you to upgrade using the SQL scripts available at
http://r.office.microsoft.com/r/rli...D=XT010731881033&CTT=11&Origin=HP010731791033

except of course they are currently not yet available, as no-one
should be using the product until October 1, whereupon I'm confident
that link will be made available.
