can receive but can't send e mails using outlook 2007

Can anyone help I can send but can't receive e mail using outlook 2007 error
message 0x800CCC80 appears. just upraded from 2003 which worked fine

I am having the opposite problem. I can receive e-mail, but I can't send it.
I upgraded from 2003 as well and my e-mail worked perfectly before. I'm
very frustrated and I've tried everything I know.

Have you tried using the "Test Account Settings" function in
Tools-Account Settings-Change?
That quite often gives some indication as to the problem.
