Can Subreport Be Made Transparent

Is there any way to make a subreport transparent so that lines drawn across
the entire width of the main report can be seen through the subreport?

I just tested in Access 2003 and the lines and rectangles I added to the main
report displayed through the subreport even if the subreport was brought to
the front.

Does your subreport have a white background of all sections?

Yes. When I look at the properties of the detail section, White is selected.
There is no option to set it as transparent.

When I right click in the detail section, there is a selection to
Fill/BackColor with a right arrow at the right. When I click the arrow, a
pallette appears with "Transparent" at the top. Transparent is grayed out.

I found a post by you from several years ago in a google search. In that
post, you suggested selecting the subreport and setting it to "Send to
Back". I tried that too and still could not see the lines in the main
report.

I'm not sure about 2007. Note I stated version 2003 in an earlier post. You
might want to try use the Line method of the main report.

I asked about the color of the sections since it made a difference when I did
some testing with Access 2003. If I left the background of sections as white,
then the lines showed through from the main report.

Yes, I discovered the same thing with Access3007. When I first asked the
question the Detail section was set to Yellow. I kept thinking about your
response and then the light bulb came on. I changed the backcolor to white
and viola the lines showed through. Thanks again for your help.
