can u upgrade from Windows ME to 2000?

I received an Ipod and it only operates on Windows 2000 with SP 4 or Xp. My
computer is to small and old to operate Xp so I guess I need 2000. I have
ME, and not sure if that the same as 2000 or if not, can i buy an upgrade to
2000. will this cause any other complications with my other equipment

This is a newsgroup for discussing/resolving issues with the Microsoft
Office suite. That said, you can't "upgrade" ME to Windows 2000, and
it's likely that the "other equipment" isn't Windows 2000 compatible,
and you would need more memory, HD and processor for 2000 AND you would
need to buy the retail version of Windows2000 or some OEM version from
somewhere. All in all, much cheaper and time effective to buy a new PC
to start with.
