Can "View my tasks" Task page in PWA be customized ?

In Project Server 2002, can the Tasks page be customized. I would like to add
more columns to the View my tasks window, but I cannot find any place to make
those updates.

Can this be done in 2002 ? How about 2003 ?

Thanks

Mike

In Project Server 2002, you can add extra columns to the View my tasks page
by adding those columns as additional published fields in every project. To
add these columns, click Tools - Customize - Published Fields and then add
the fields you wish. NOTE: You must add these columns to every project.

In Project Server 2003, you can modify the View my tasks page by doing the
following:

1. Ask the Project Server administrator to modify the Timesheet view to
include the desired columns
2. Complete the steps detailed in the first paragraph to actually populate
the timesheet columns with data

Hope this helps.

Dale,

Can I ask one thing for clarification. If I have 4 projects already in MS
Project Server, will I need to add the published fields to every project
before they will become visioble for any of them (assuming the same resource
is on all 4). If yes, once that is done, can I add that setting to the
Enterprise Global so that it will be automatic for new projects going forward
?

Thanks again,

Mike

Yes, that's why I said "every project" in my original answer. Be thankful
that you don't have 400 projects in the system! :)

No, you cannot solve this problem by adding the fields to the Enterprise
Global file. You must add the fields to every existing and new project, but
to simplify things in the future, you should add these fields to each of
your enterprise project templates. Hope this helps.
