Can you Automate Compact & Repair in Access 97

I want to put in a Public Function in my database that will automatically
compact and repair a Access 97 database.

Got to the menu for Tools...Options....General Tab. Check
the "Compact on Close Box" in the lower left.

Thanks Bob, but I don't think that option is available in Access 97.

It's not.

Since it's not possible to compact an open database (other than by using
SendKeys, which is definitely not advised), take a look at the free TSI SOON
