Can you change the alert trigger to a customized date field

Currently have a baseline dates (Program Costed Schedule), start & finish
dates (Project Calculated) and predict start/finish (Established by leads).
The predict dates are Goals that the leads are establishing in an attempt to
bring the project plan back to the curent baseline.
I would like the alerts to be triggered by the predict dates and not the
project calculated start/finish. Is this possible? We are utilizing
Project Server 2003

There is no default way to accomplish this in Project Server 2003. The only
way to do it would require custom development. You might want to repost
this message in the microsoft.public.project.developer newsgroup to let our
developer experts give you some ideas on how to accomplish this. Hope this
helps.
