Can you setup an access database to accept barcode scans? We are currently
using tcp/ip for data collection into sql and wanted to know if Access 2007
can handle it?

Yes, but it also depends on the type of the scanner. Basically there are
two types:

Keyboard input device scanner directly insert the scanned barcode into
the active text box.

Store and forward devices store the scanned barcodes and you need to
download them mostly as a text file and parse/process this file.

So depending on your needs you should evaluate the available devices.
The best I have used so far are the MetroLogic devices, but they are
also one of the most expensive ones.
