Can you convert a PowerPoint file to DVD format?

I am running Office 2003. Has anyone heard of a way to convert a
PowerPoint presentation (ppt) into a DVD format so it can be played on
a tv.

I had the same question and this is the response i got.... it looks like it
could work:

if you just copy your powerpoint to a blank dvd your home dvd player
(connected to a TV) will not know what to make of it.
