Can you have a field that holds "notes" on the account?

We are about to purchase Access for our office, but I first need to make
sure that along with all of the basic data, that it will also give us the
opportunity to make notes on client accounts. Is there a way to do this?

Certainly. You can either create a Memo field that will contain the notes.
About how many characters (letters, number, punctuation, etc.) will these
notes
contain?

Thanks Tom. Our notes would be brief notes of our most recent conversations
and account instructions, etc., but we would like to be able to add more
extensive notes if possible.

If you are purchasing Access just to keep track of your clients you might
consider using using Customer Relationship Management software
(CRM)instead. Why reinvent the wheel?

The time and money spent to develop something similar in Access will
add up quick. I did a quick search on "CRM Shareware" with out the quotes
and came up with quite a few hits. While I haven't used any of these
products they are free for the trying. Here at our office we use
Goldmine, but the learning curve is steep and it's pretty expensive.
OTH it will do just about anything you want it to do.
