Can you highlight text in Publisher 2007 (like you can in Word)?

When using Word, you can highlight text. Can this be done in Publisher 2007?
If so, how?

That is such a pain - why can't they just add the highlighter??

Publisher is a DTP application, generally high-lighting text isn't necessary.
Use Word, all the tools are there.
