I saw a message on Amazon that stated that you could no longer use Office on
your dektop and your laptop without buying two copies. The last time I read
the eula this was allowed. has it changed?

the employer, Academic,?

The Academic EULA (certainly in UK) is the same as Retail - one Desktop and
one portable device owned by the licensee, and not used at the same time as
the desktop...and NOT for commercial use, although the UK Academic EULA also
seems to permit use for non-profit organisations such as charities

From a reply to a previous post from Diane Poremsky, MVPThere are two
"academic" licenses - the true academic version which is only
for a desktop and a laptop used by the same person (this is the same on most
retail versions). The "student and home" version can be installed on 3
computers within the home. The only restriction is noncommercial use."John"

There's a fairly major "restriction" with Student and Home - it doesn't
contain Outlook.....;-)
