I will.... I guess that works in reverse. I have a situation where
there may be a site
that has more inside information than I do which I might just link to.

There's usually no reason why *not* to link to each other's information..
unless it's private or priveleged information of some kind, in which case it
doesn't belong on a publicly available web site, right?

Also, any site with server-side scripting knowledge can block any one from linking to their site.

What you can do is block anyone who CLICKS on a link to the site since they
would be coming in from from the blocked referrer.
