Can you lock text boxes in Master Pages

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Can you Lock Master Pages text boxes so they don't move within the document?

Master Pages only exist in Publishing Layout documents & by their very
definition elements on them *cannot* be moved when working in Content pages.

No: Bob is correct.

To amplify what he said: You can't "Lock" a text box, ever: it's always
relative to the paragraph it is anchored to. Everything in a Word document
in relative to a paragraph: that's the way Word works.

A "Master Page" in Publishing layout view is a con: it's not a master page
at all, it's a strange use of the section running header.

If you want squares that hold text and won't move, use "Tables".
