can you make large banners in power point (hang on the wall type)

I want to make a large banner that I can take into Kinkos and have it printed
on continuous paper. What is the best progarm to do this in? Can it be done
in Power Point?

No. PowerPoint outputs all content at 72dpi, low resolution. So even though
you can create things for print with PPT it is very limited in its quality,
especially for larger printouts.
