Can you make Word place a long FOOTnote on ONE page & not TWO?

Is there any way to make Microsoft Word NOT spread a long footnote out
between two pages? Is there a secret code or way to force Word to place the
entire footnote at the foot of the page it pertains to? Thanks...

Note that keeping the footnote on the same page may require an early page
break if the footnote reference is near the bottom of the page.
