It's a simple question. And one i asked back in Feb 2008.... still no answer from Microsoft?

RE "Will Microsoft look at addressing the problem? Ie from the original post regards PowerPoint not supporting swfs.

I too would like to import Adobe Flash based SWFs into a PowerPoint presentation. Using an alternate to Flash to create the original is not an option at this stage.

I work for a Design company, we use Powerpoint to pitch for new work. We would like to showcase current swf based work within the PowerPoint format, instead of flat JPGs."

Sorry Bradley, but you're *not* communicating with MS by posting to a public
newsgroup... You might as well be shouting out your window :) In fact, if
you live within earshot of Redmond you'd have better luck making the point.

If you want the most direct route, use Help> Send Feedback from within PPt
to argue your case for .swf compatibility. Those here are simply users of
the product attempting to assist other users to employ the capabilities the
program *does* support. We have nothing to do with design or development of
the product. When or if such changes occur rely on demand through the
appropriate channels.

Hi Bradley,

I can't speak for Microsoft, but I would rather doubt it. I think Adobe
just recently declared the Flash will be open source, so maybe it will
happen eventually.

Meanwhile, there's a few free converters out there. Lately I have had
good luck with one called Medial Converter

One alternate approach would be to create simple HTML pages that host your flash
workk, then link to the HTML pages from PPT.
