Can you Refresh MS Project Data in Excel Visual Report?

I've created a New Excel Visual Report.

I'm able to run the report with no problem.

Once I have the report open I would like to refresh the data.

For example, I make changes in the open Project file and save the
Project file.

Then I'd like to refresh the data in the Pivot Table Excel Visual
Report I've created. Refresh Data does not actually refresh the data.

Is there a way to do this with the MPP and the XLSX open?

Or do I need to re-open the Excel Visual Report every time I make a
data change in Project? --> This option just doesn't seem effective.

Hi,

The pivot table refresh just refreshes the pivot table with changes of data
in Excel. There is no link, so yes you would need to re-open the report to
refresh it.
